Lapsang Souchong tea or "smoky tea" is a luxury organic black tea boasts a smoky aroma and flavor. Its creation is credited to the thick, rough-looking Souchong leaves that are withered over burning pine bows. Its leaves are placed in barrels, covered with cloth, and allowed to ferment. The intense smoky brew it
produces is considered to be a unique treat that is good for stimulating digestion. It is made like any other tea and can be drunk with or without milk. This tea has attributed much for maintaining good health.

Production Process
These leaves are picked when they are at their peak maturity. Then they are placed over smoldering pine, oak or cypress tree embers. This causes the leaves to wither. The leaves are then pan fried and rolled before they are placed in wooden barrels. The leaves are left in the barrels until they ferment and put off a sweet aroma. This aroma signals that the leaves are then ready to be fried and rolled again. They are then hung over pine, oak or cypress smoke to dry the leaves. The exposure to this smoke is what gives the Lapsang Souchong tea its smoky aroma and flavor.
